Road/Cross/Touring
ROAD
Who doesn't love a nice riding road frame? Imagine heading out on your next century or tour with confidence on a bike that fits you properly and has the incredible ride quality and comfort only steel can provide. You can head out knowing your back is going to feel as great at end of your ride as it did at the beginning after. Better yet, your hands and neck won't start nagging at the 50 mile mark giving you much more time to appreciate the ride while you glide along the road on a quality steel frame. Let's face it, Steel is Real! Steel frames are dent resistant, scratch resistant, repairable, and with a little love and attention is corrosion resistant too. Try saying all that about carbon or aluminum!
We build our road frames exclusively from Dedacciai 12.5 COM tube sets whenever possible, substituting tube sets where necessary for extra strength and durability, in your choice of a variety of traditional lugged options or custom fillet brazed construction.
TOURING
Our touring frames are built with every attention to detail as our road frames only with more focus on making those long days and heavy loads of touring a little less demanding allowing you the time to concentrate on the road ahead. Touring specific custom geometry and tubing selection helps ensure comfort, handling stability, lightweight, and durability no matter what roads you may be traveling.
Wright Cycles offers you a custom built touring bike with your choice of rack and fender mounts, extra water bottle mounts, and more.
CYCLOCROSS
The cyclocross crowd raves about our bikes. A local racer even entered MTB race on a single speed cross bike and finished 3rd amongst the geared 26 and 29ner crowd. Again, with our cyclocross frames we employ Dedacciai tubing sets wherever possible utilizing geometries with shorter stays and more aggressive head tube angles.
We also do track bikes if that is what you fancy! We really prefer the 60-70's style track bike geometry, emphasizing aggressive angles and very short stays. And, a 28mm rake with one of our custom forks, stylishly lugged of course, makes for one quick bike.
